Sculpt Mode · Rewired

Your hand already knows how to sculpt.

ZCulpt adapts Blender to the muscle memory of artists coming from ZBrush: navigation, modifiers, brushes, and topology tools where you expect them.

Less mental translation

You don't need to learn sculpting all over again.

Blender already has a powerful sculpting system. Friction appears when your hand reaches for one action and Blender expects another. ZCulpt bridges those two languages: it preserves native tools and performance while reorganizing interaction around habits you already have.

02 — TOOLS

Familiar where it matters.

It is not a skin or a pixel-for-pixel copy. It is an interaction layer built for working, not for appearances.

Navigate the way you think

Free orbit from the background, Alt to pan, Ctrl to transition into zoom, and Shift for axis snapping. The model stays where your eye and hand left it.

Includes a Blender profile as an alternative

Brushes within reach

Curated native profiles, quick pie-menu access, and familiar behavior for Smooth, inversion, and brush size.

Masks and groups

Mask, unmask, invert, isolate, and organize with Face Sets presented through a recognizable PolyGroups-style workflow.

Topology without breaking your flow

Voxel Remesh, Dyntopo, and Multires organized as direct decisions, with safety checks and native Undo wherever Blender supports it.

The implementation follows Blender's real semantics

Immediate symmetry

X disables or restores your last axis combination; the controls stay visible and tied to the mesh.

03 — PHILOSOPHY

Muscle memory, not inherited limitations.

ZCulpt uses Blender as Blender: objects, modifiers, files, and the sculpt engine remain native.

01

The stroke stays in Blender

Ordinary deformation never passes through Python vertex loops: pressure and performance stay on Blender's native path.

02

Shortcuts understand context

ZCulpt acts inside Sculpt Mode and restores the configuration it temporarily replaces when disabled.

03

Different tools stay different

Remesh, Dyntopo, and Multires feel more direct while retaining their real capabilities and limitations.

04 — WORKFLOW

Enter Sculpt Mode. Pick up the pen. Keep going.

The interface stays compact. Frequent actions live near the cursor, on the keyboard, or in modular panels you can reorder.

Enable ZCulpt

The interaction layer stays inside Sculpt Mode and registers its own shortcuts reversibly.

Sculpt Mode

Work from instinct

Smooth, invert, mask, navigate, and switch tools without leaving the rhythm of the stroke.

Pen first

Keep Blender

Your scene remains a Blender scene: objects, modifiers, saving, and Undo continue to work where you expect them.

What it does

It reduces friction when switching tools.

  • Adapts familiar sculpting interactions
  • Prioritizes tablet, pen, and feedback near the cursor
  • Groups topology and visibility controls
  • Protects the native workflow wherever possible
What it doesn't try to do

It doesn't turn Blender into another program.

  • It does not replicate the ZBrush interface
  • It includes no proprietary assets, alphas, or icons
  • It does not erase the differences between both engines
  • It does not promise compatibility that has not been tested

Stop translating every gesture. Put that energy into form, volume, and character.
