Pose once.
Animate everywhere.

01 — WHY KAGURA

A pose library should follow the production.

A film is rarely one Blender file. Kagura keeps reusable poses in a named project library, while each scene remembers which project it belongs to.

WITHOUT A PROJECT

Useful poses get trapped.

They live in a preference folder, a single scene, or yet another file to manage. Context disappears as the production grows.

WITH KAGURA

The library becomes part of the workflow.

Create a project once, connect each scene, and every new pose becomes available to the whole production on that workstation.

02 — FEATURES

Fast enough to stay out of the shot.

Kagura keeps the common loop short—capture, find, apply—while giving production libraries the safeguards they need.

Libraries built around projects

Name a production—such as Memories of Loana—and connect as many scenes as it needs. The .blend remembers the link.

Selected-bone capture

Save only the controls that define the pose. Apply them later without disturbing the rest of the rig.

Apply and key

Restore a complete stored pose and insert LocRotScale keys in one deliberate action.

Collections and search

Group poses by character, sequence, or intent. Search the library when naming is faster than browsing.

Portable when you need it

Import and export JSON libraries, and migrate poses from Kagura's original global library without losing the source.

Destructive actions feel destructive

Project deletion requires its exact name. Backups and recovery files protect the library, while conflict detection catches edits made from another Blender window.

Clear guardrails, not silent surprises.
03 — PROJECT SYSTEM

One library. Every scene.

The pose data stays in the Kagura project on your computer. Each .blend stores a lightweight reference to that project.

04 — WORKFLOW

Three moves. Then back to animation.

The project layer adds continuity without turning pose capture into asset management.

Create or connect

Create the production project once. In each new scene, select it and save the .blend.

Capture what matters

Select the useful pose bones, open their destination collection, and save the pose there under a clear name.

Apply with intent

Apply to selected bones, restore the complete pose, select its controls, or apply and key it immediately.

05 — HONEST SCOPE

Small tool. Clear contract.

Kagura is deliberately focused on reusable pose transforms. Knowing its boundaries makes it dependable.

WHAT IT DOES

Stores pose-bone transforms by name.

It captures the selected bones' basis transforms, makes them reusable, and can insert Blender LocRotScale keys.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

It does not replace a rigging or asset system.

Constraints, custom properties, thumbnails, cloud sync, and automatic rig remapping are outside the current scope.
